The DCLIMATE® electric Auxiliary Power Unit (eAPU) has a hybrid architecture that combines high efficiency Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) modules with a patented battery management and rapid recharge system.

THE DCLIMATE® ADVANTAGE

  • FUEL SAVINGS:

    • The DCLIMATE® APU maximizes fuel efficiency, providing immediate fuel savings and compliance with anti-idling regulations as soon as the truck engine is shut down and the APU is activated.
  • REDUCED IDLING TIME:

    • Reducing truck engine idling offers benefits beyond fuel savings and emissions reduction. Decreasing the truck engine’s runtime extends service intervals and minimizes engine wear and tear. This approach reduces the risk of premature failure of costly engine components due to excessive idling and can greatly enhance trade-in value.
  • DRIVER COMFORT AND SATISFACTION:

    • The system prioritizes driver comfort while simultaneously reducing environmental impact and operating costs. This focus on providing a high-quality driver experience contributes to driver satisfaction and retention, which is crucial for the success of any fleet operation.
  • REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:

    • Consistent use of an eAPU reduces the risk of costly fines associated with anti-idling regulations. It is environmentally sustainable, emitting no particulates, noise, or greenhouse gases when used. The DCLIMATE® system is an EPA SmartWay Verified technology and meets all CARB and EPA emissions requirements.
